Brief History

Introduction

The department of Nutrition and Health Science was established in 1999, ever since it has been highly reputed to be one of the best academies in Nutrition and Health Science in Taiwan.  The department provides the knowledge of nutrition therapy and food science, which help students to step up their future careers. The department currently carries a 4-year bachelor degree program, a 2-year undergraduate program, and a 2-year undergraduate program for continuing education.  Students are expected to become professional “dietitians”, “Health food experts/Food analysts”, or “healthy diet planners”, etc.  The department also set up a master degree program with the research focused on “nutrition therapy” and “functional foods”, providing those who take interests in nutrition and health science with the opportunities for advanced study and on-job education.
